"Awesome-town" Fall FestivalAustintown..."Awesome-town." Wouldn't it be wonderful if that was the way we all thought of our neighbors and the place in which we live? Well a movement is growing to try to make that idea a reality. Yes, people are coming together to plan what is hoped to be a big first step - a Fall Festival - October 9-10, 2010 at Austintown Township Park. We're out to build goodwill, to build relationships, to help people in need, and to celebrate all things good about Austintown, through building a community-wide festival! It's all about working together to make our town a better place. Austintown..."Awesome-town." Wouldn't it be great!
The next planning meeting is Thursday February 18th at Stacey Pavilion at Township Park. Want to find out more? Want to get involved? Contact our Director of Ministries at (330) 799-4214 or by e-mail at BBloomster@yourACC.org.

Do we "get it"?
Sometimes I think I do. There are those amazing moments in my life when the realization of the love of Christ comes crashing in anew and afresh on me. I am washed again in grace and lifted up in power. My faith expands and my hope abounds.
But then, after a while, the moment of "getting it" gradually passes, I begin to remember once again that Christ's love is so vast and so amazing that no one ever really "gets it" for long. If we ever could get it and keep it, then we would be perfected. And I am far from perfect. Yet every time I experience one of those "got it" moments -- when I grasp again the wide, long, high and deep love of Christ for another fleeting moment -- I am changed a little bit; there is a transformational work going on in my spirit. And I move forward with my life a little bit different; a little bit holier and a little bit humbler than I was before. A little bit wiser. A little bit more thankful. A little bit more the person God created me to be.
Here at Austintown Community Church, we try to grasp the love of Christ together. We are not perfect saints by any means. But we do believe that God can change us and fill us and use us to bless the world. We believe there is joy in worship, strength in community, growth in discipleship, blessing in service and eternal hope in grasping the love of Christ again and again and again.
Come worship with us. And please contact me if I can be of any help or service to you.
In Christ,
